IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Embassy of Algeria in Lima informs Algerian nationals residing in Peru, that the 2026 Finance Law introduces significant updates to the conditions governing benefits related to the Certificate of Change of Residence (CCR).

Key updates:

Under Article 127, registered Algerian citizens may import, upon their permanent return to Algeria and with exemption from customs duties and foreign trade controls:

- One electric, gasoline, or hybrid passenger vehicle with a maximum of 1800 cm³; or

- One utility vehicle for the transport of goods (with a maximum GVW of 5.950 tons); or

- One two-wheeled motor vehicle subject to registration.

•    Vehicles may be new or less than five (05) years old at the time of entry.

•    Diesel vehicles are excluded from CCR benefits

•    Total authorized value of the CCR (personal effects + vehicle):

- DZD 8 million for students and apprentices

- DZD 10 million for other citizens
